While editing this wedding I came across a couple of “outtakes” that will not be included in the wedding package but I do like them so I thought I’d share.

His mustache tickled her and that’s the expression I captures – cute!

and this is of a wedding crasher – I don’t think he was invited but wanted to ride the brides dress for a while. Katie was trying to convince him he was NOT the ring bearer.
Just wanted to share a few funny moments.

Halloween Party and a 5K Run in Chicago

I took a much-needed break from the computer this weekend (at least for a couple of hours) and this is what I did, today David and I ran The Chicago Police Memorial 5K Foot Chase. This was an accomplishment for me because last time I ran a race was the winter of 2009 and I was training for longer runs but then needed knee surgery and it’s taken me this long to get back to running. and last night we went out with some friends to a Halloween Party – just an opportunity to dress up and act up . . .

I’ll have you know that David won the prize for scariest costume and he received a little trophy and a monetary award. Way to go David!

and of course my camera is set on a timer and I run back and forth until I get the look I want. Which was about 5 frames.

It was a very long day at work and then I had a dentist appointment after work but when I got home my new little light was waiting for me. I couldn’t wait to experiment. My mouth is still numb but hey it didn’t show in the images. LOL

Navy Pier – Chicago Illinois – Photographer

It was late at night, a beautiful night, I was out there with my tri-pod and camera. Navy Pier is an amazing place at any time of day but at night this part of it had a bit of mystery to it. I tried a little HDR on this image.

Karri & Dan’s Wedding – Lowell Indiana – Wedding Photographer

I had the honor of shooting Karri and Dan’s wedding last Saturday. The weather was perfect and it was a perfect day for a wedding. We had so much fun.

This time I bounced the light off of the ceiling and I used a mirror to open up the shadows a bit. I’m also experimenting with the post processing in Photoshop.

Guess who has a bouquet of flowers on her dinning room table? If you guessed me than you are correct! I picked a whole bouquet of wild yellow flowers and they are adorning my table tonight. Things like that make me happy. No natural light available , no flash, no strobe – what does that leave? Flash light. I like the way this one turned out.

Chicago Full Moon Fire Jam –

Our photo group had another meet up on Monday, which happened to be a full moon. We went to the Chicago Full Moon Fire Jam. Here’s an old video clip I found on You-Tube. This was different but so much fun to watch the different artist express themselves.
