For those of you who might not know about Earth Day, here is some information on it: Earth Day I love to get outside on Earth Day. It was cold, it was raining (very hard) and it was gloomy but David didn’t mind going with me into the woods, thanks Hon.
HAVE YOU HUGGED A TREE TODAY?
Two cameras, two lenses, two very wet people, but it was worth it.
It feels like I’ve neglected my blog but it continues to be close to my heart. My schedule just gets full and I start moving forward fast pace and next thing I know the day has passed by. Thanks for checking back here.
Here is an experiment that did not work.
My blogger friend Terry has some amazing water drop reflection shots and I’ve been admiring those for a while. I attempted to duplicate those but I didn’t hit the mark. I did however end up with a very wet and very clean table. 🙂 See Terry’s work here
I wanted to share my set up for the splashing peppers. I’d like to take all of the credit for this idea but it wasn’t my idea. I saw this in a Digital SLR Photography Magazine. The author’s name is Dave Ovenden. This is the set up on my kitchen table.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
but it’s so much fun!
I used two speedlights for these fun shots. This is my second attempt at splash photography.

I think I will need to play some more.
It wasn’t planned today – I was supposed to stay home and do some Spring cleaning. I think David could tell I needed a creative break. So we took a drive to the city he loves and protects – Gary, Indiana. We were going to go to the upstairs section
when we came across this:
The second and third stories are no longer accessible and obviously no longer safe.
At one point David kept a blog and here is an archive of this building. Shutter-Tonin. He definitely has his own style. I think he’s going to revive the blog. 😉
We can see most of this stuff from the outside of the building. I love this wall! David didn’t think it feasible to take home. (Just kidding, I wasn’t trying to take it home) but wow what a backdrop it would make.
and just another detail.
I’ve posted the rest of the set on my Flickr Account
