We met early this morning to shoot Mr. M.T. on the beach. We had such a good time. He was very animated and had fun. He was running along the shore when he must have stepped into a dip in the sand and he wiped out right in the water. Just as quickly as he fell he got up and said “oh shoot, the water is so cold.” I thought for sure the shoot was over – no he was a little trooper and after a change of clothes was back at it. You’ll notice his hair is wet in the last picture. He was completely soaked! I had a lot of fun with this little cutie. Thank Lori!
When spring came around this year I was getting ready to take the winter wreath down from the side of the house (our main entrance) and I noticed that a Robin had started nesting there. Well, if she thought it good enough to nest there who was I to say any different. I’ve been keeping my eye on her. I’ve re-routed traffic to and from my side door. She had two birds but only one made it. Today I noticed he was out of the nest and on my stairs. That was a good six-foot fall. I noticed mom was back and forth feeding it and teaching it how to eat off of the ground. Out came the yellow police tape. Just to make sure no one would come by and disturb the baby. LOL
Well she moved him again. They are across the yard and under the picnic table. So it’s o.k. to use my door once again. LOL
This one is from mother’s day. It’s my wonderful mother-in-law, Jan with David. 🙂 I think it turned out very nice.
Next I have another experiment with the freelensing I tried yesterday. I was trying to get the “tilt Shift” look but failed. This time it was not a close up but this is what the end of my driveway has looked like all week. I have to park my car somewhere else because I don’t have access to my driveway. That big machine is what taunts Twix, the youngest of my dogs. LOL She’s terrified of the thing even when it’s not working. She looks at it and shakes.
Finally, I want to show you my completed room. It was pink before the changes.
I’m sure I’m not more super busy than everyone else but my weeks just seem to fly by. By the time I get settled in – in front of the computer I’m exhausted and just cannot muster the energy to post. I have taken pictures – lots and lots of them but the process stops after the post production. I will try to do better. I’ve missed my blogger friends and I need to catch up on my friends blogs as well.
This spring brought new customers, new friends and new home improvement projects. I will try to update those projects in the future.
If you’re still reading this – then thank you for following along.
Elli, from project 365 Facebook posted a link to Freelensing, and it’s just what I needed. Something new to experiment with. I took several images that I am happy with but I will just share one for now.
I spent most of my weekend shooting my Nikon with friends and family – just for the love of photography. Different angles, different lighting, different locations – all for fun. Thanks to my friend Mary who took me to a secret garden on Sunday – I’ll post pictures of that later on.
These 2 images were from a World War II re-enactment. The uniforms, clothing, weapons, bikes, trucks almost everything you can think of was as authentic as possible. I have a lot of images to go through yet but wanted to update my blog so here is a quick peak. Thanks for checking in on my blog.
