I took a much-needed break from the computer this weekend (at least for a couple of hours) and this is what I did, today David and I ran The Chicago Police Memorial 5K Foot Chase. This was an accomplishment for me because last time I ran a race was the winter of 2009 and I was training for longer runs but then needed knee surgery and it’s taken me this long to get back to running. and last night we went out with some friends to a Halloween Party – just an opportunity to dress up and act up . . .
I had the honor of shooting Karri and Dan’s wedding last Saturday. The weather was perfect and it was a perfect day for a wedding. We had so much fun.
To all of my friends – I am now the owner of an IMac computer. I will be slowly making the transition from PC to Mac – I hope it won’t be too difficult of a transition. If you have any words of advice – I welcome them. I have also changed my e-mail address to SandraMarek425@gmail.com
It started out as a self Portrait but David ended up helping me. I have posted a few more to my Facebook page HERE. I’d like for you to help me pick my next avatar picture. Please go there and vote. Thanks!
I’ve been holding on to a set of images for the past month and a half. I wanted to make sure I could do these pictures justice. It’s my mother in laws birthday from July. I am really lucky to be able to have a great relationship with my in-laws. Words cannot express what they mean to me. Suffice it to say “Jan and Alex – I love you guys, thank you so much for your support.”
Tasha is a 12 or 13ish year old Pit Bull – she’s a total sweetie. Melissa and Gino asked me to do their family photos because Tasha has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is definitely their baby. She has a great disposition and it was a pleasure meeting her. I’m really honored that Melissa and Gino asked me to photograph them. Especially since Melissa does some photography of her own. Thank you for letting me share a small part of your life.

To those of you who follow my blog please pardon my absence. I needed some time to rest and recoup and get some things in order. I’m still working on the “order” think but I feel 100% better than I had been feeling. Thanks for continuing to follow.
Hade this amazing (and cute) couple in the studio. We had so much fun.
I just love what I do – capturing people and the love they share. I love capturing moments in the lives of people. A couple of years from now this couple will be running after a beautiful child and this pregnancy will be a thing of the past – but it’s captured and will forever be there for them to look at.
The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.”
How appropriate that for the first day of summer this princess decides to play with butterfly wings. She buzzed around the yard for a while.
We played, we colored, we crafted. What a perfect summer evening.
This is our niece Sarah, after graduation in front of her High School. We are very proud of her and wish her the best of luck for her future plans. She’s going away to college and studying something in Medicine.
I got a new wide angle lens and I’m trying to figure out its sweet spot. It’s an amazing lens.
This is from our daughter Alexandria’s graduation. She is also going away to college and concentrating her study in the Medical field. Lots of luck honey – we are so proud of you too!
I will post some from the wedding at a later time.
