I took a much-needed break from the computer this weekend (at least for a couple of hours) and this is what I did, today David and I ran The Chicago Police Memorial 5K Foot Chase. This was an accomplishment for me because last time I ran a race was the winter of 2009 and I was training for longer runs but then needed knee surgery and it’s taken me this long to get back to running. and last night we went out with some friends to a Halloween Party – just an opportunity to dress up and act up . . .
I’ve been holding on to a set of images for the past month and a half. I wanted to make sure I could do these pictures justice. It’s my mother in laws birthday from July. I am really lucky to be able to have a great relationship with my in-laws. Words cannot express what they mean to me. Suffice it to say “Jan and Alex – I love you guys, thank you so much for your support.”
Meet Miss Ariel! GORGEOUS! She graduated with the class of 2011 but had not been able to get her Senior pictures done – until now. I’m glad she waited 🙂
She didn’t want the usual “pretty park and flowers” type of shoot – she wanted edgy and grungy and that’s what we got! If you’d like to see a few more “like” my Facebook Page S.R.Marek Photography Facebook
Hade this amazing (and cute) couple in the studio. We had so much fun.
I just love what I do – capturing people and the love they share. I love capturing moments in the lives of people. A couple of years from now this couple will be running after a beautiful child and this pregnancy will be a thing of the past – but it’s captured and will forever be there for them to look at.
The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.”
How appropriate that for the first day of summer this princess decides to play with butterfly wings. She buzzed around the yard for a while.
We played, we colored, we crafted. What a perfect summer evening.
It was such a pleasure working with this young man and his family. He loves baseball and has spent many years in this baseball field. He and his family thought it appropriate to have his photo shoot there. It was our pleasure. I have a wide variety of images but am only showing a few. This one I messed with exposures for a dramatic look.
We met early this morning to shoot Mr. M.T. on the beach. We had such a good time. He was very animated and had fun. He was running along the shore when he must have stepped into a dip in the sand and he wiped out right in the water. Just as quickly as he fell he got up and said “oh shoot, the water is so cold.” I thought for sure the shoot was over – no he was a little trooper and after a change of clothes was back at it. You’ll notice his hair is wet in the last picture. He was completely soaked! I had a lot of fun with this little cutie. Thank Lori!
